 Welcome to the HP Scanner overview. This section is intended to provide a brief introduction to HP's DeskScan II software. The information presented herein is in no way meant to supplant the tutorial information for Part 3 located at ScanTips.Com. Below is the general control panel for HP's Information Controls Tool.


This tool is more passive in nature, but can be of valuable use to new users who are not entirely familiar with the DeskScan II interface. In one quick snapshot, this window will display what your current settings are for image dpi, scan type of image, and the level of sharpening (if any) that are being used for your final scan. The user can also gain additional information about the scanner they are using by clicking on the scanner icon in the left hand portion of this window.
