Presentation Graphics: The Beginning

Lesson 1
It is true a picture may be worth a thousand words but only if it is the right picture. When adding graphics to presentations the presenter must first determine the important points of the message and then only use the graphic images to:

  • Inform or instruct
  • Motivate
  • Further elaborate the message

The message must be the most important part of any presentation.

So, how does one get those graphics into a computer to construct a slick presentation? First select an input source. Lesson 1 is in five sections. It should take fifteen hours of wholesome hard work to complete. Each section has:

  • Tutorial to refresh or instruct concepts
  • Practice for  active hands-on opportunity
  • Assessmenmt exercise for demonstration of excellent capabilities

Various ways of getting graphics into a presentation are to use one of the following:

  1. Digital Camera
  2. CDs
  3. Internet
  4. Digitally Created Image
  5. Scanner

Remember, part of your grade is giving feedback to your IT buddy and your instructor. You need to check in at least fourteen times during this module.
