Lesson 5: Presentation Attributes-The Physical Layout of Presentations and the Use of Image

In this lesson you will explore various ways of laying out your presentation page. This will include The border, style and logo. The occasions and reasons for the use of border, shape and transparency with an image is determined and practiced. This lesson should take three hours of work.

Review

Let us take a moment to review your accomplishments. First,in Lesson 1 you explored and practiced various ways of inputing graphics. Second , in Lesson 2 you determined the file type and size that would best be suited for your various purposes. Then in Lesson 3 you reviewed the purposes graphics may play in a presentation and you created an outline of the important concepts you are planning to present. In Lesson 4 you discovered the role of color and determined how color would participate in your final presentation. Now you are about to complete the final lesson that will prepare you for the work you must do in developing a professional presentation.

Step 1

Download the pdf file on Design and Layout. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer go to:

Step 2

Read the information in Design and Layout. You may print this out if you wish. The design elements of your final project will be evaluated based on the rules and concepts contained in the Design and Layout information.

Step 3

Review the links.Find five links on the Internet that provide examples of presentations. In a short paper of two to three pages, discuss whether or not the sites applied the rules and concepts of design and layout. Reference all the sites you used in your paper. Follow the APA method of documentation.

Step 4

Make sure your name is on your paper.Keep your file name short but use part of your name for ID.FTP the file to your instructor by the deadline.If you send this as an email and include graphic examples in your work be sure your attachment file is no larger than 500k. You may make your paper a pdf file and import it into your site or email that to your instructor.

 

When you are finished with this lesson you will be ready for your final assessment.
