Lesson 1 Practice

Create Digital Images in Presentation Practice Activity #4 (10 pts.)

Creating images and placing them in presentations give a tailored look to your presentation, enhances the visual understanding as well as generates reinforcement on difficult or large amounts of information that must be transferred.

Create a drawn image that can later be used in a presentation. You may use any software you wish, the only stipulation being that you must be able to save the image as a GIF, BIT MAP, TIFF, PICT, or JPG. You will also be importing them into a short presentation, so remember to notice the size of the files, so that the image doesn't become cumbersome. Then, HAVE FUN!

The activity for created digital images:

1. Create two different images, saving each as a different image type (i.e., one a GIF, and a one a BMP) and import them into a 2 page powerpoint or Clarisworks presentation. Include in you pp or cw presentation page a little background information on the created image (for instance, is it a graph or chart, or a computer aided design image done by the use of which software?) and keep in mind, good presentation skills (keeping the pictures no greater than half the size of the page, proper font sizing, etc).

Buddy Activity #4 (10 pts.)

2. Send these presentation pages to your IT buddy and then on to your instructor via email with attachments or ftp the files to your class folder.
